What is the difference between a trek and a tour?
Treks are multi-day walking trips with camping, porters and a cook, graded by difficulty and altitude. Tours are vehicle-based, staying in hotels and guesthouses, with short walks and cultural stops. Jeep safaris sit between the two.
How do I choose between K2 Base Camp and the other treks?
K2 Base Camp is the classic Baltoro route at 14 to 21 days. Snow Lake and Hispar La are longer and more remote at 22 days. Rush Lake and Fairy Meadows are shorter and lower. Every package page lists days, maximum altitude and grade so you can compare directly.
Do you run fixed departures or private trips?
Both. Fixed departures are listed with dates on each package page and let you join an existing group. Private trips run on your own dates for any group size, including solo travellers.
How far in advance should I book?
For the 8,000 m expeditions and K2 Base Camp in peak season, four to six months. Permits, liaison officers and Askole logistics all take time. Tours and shorter treks can often be arranged within a few weeks.
How do I book a trip?
